"I sat down last night in front of my radio and thought of all the contacts I had received over the weekend, whilst working the bands I collected 27 Lighthouses and contacts from Hungary Russia Moldova Gibraltar Madeira and Canary Islands to the east and Foster City and Minnesota USA to the west, Portugal Canary Islands and many more to the South and Norway Sweden and many more from the North" I sat thinking " I was told an internal antenna was little point" Wow! how they were wrong!
I looked at the bands that I had made contact on.... 80M 40m 20m 17m So I thought lets put this antenna to a real test!
Anyone wishing to discuss further how my antenna is installed are welcome to email me G0MRR@aol.com
I switched on moved to 160m top band! Checked frequency was clear and keyed to see if my SG239 tuner (Installed up in the loft just under the 1-to 9 unun) would respond The SWR meter on my FT 890 swung violently across to the right and the proceed to check back to 3 and then to 1.5 to 1 I was amazed Could I make contacts on Top Band with an internal wire just 16.2 meters long! The answer was YES Logged at 21.50 UTC on 21.08.11 was my first top band contact G3YXM from Birmingham giving me a report of 5.7 approximate 100miles North
and my second was G1YFT giving me a report of 5.9 into Leicester again over 100miles! As it was late I could not find more contacts and finished my evening on 80m QSO with M0WYB and G0AQL two local hams giving me 5.8 and 5.9 respectively. What a great weekends radio I have had.
The moral of this story is: If you cant find room in the garden for an antenna there's always room upwards!

The bhi 'Noise Away' Amplified Noise Elimination Module is a compact easy to use, microprocessor controlled, in-line solution for noise and interference problems in voice/radio communications. Using unique fully adaptive DSP noise cancellation, unwanted noise and interference is removed to leave clear speech with virtually no distortion of the voice signal.
"Effective but exspensive. Would I reccomend! YES! Worth every penny!"

16-02-2012 Bhi 'Noise Away'
I have been asked "Whats is it like with CW"
Its very good on SSB I do not find it works well on CW .
If you use a computer program like MRP40 morse decoder or any morse decoder
then IT IS NOT GOOD!
The morse decoders have their own filters embedded in the programme software and therefore do not mix well with the HBI Noise Away.
I therefore only use the Bhi Noise Away with SSB and not with CW Mode. Its easy to disconnect for CW use. Therefore I would advise you not to buy if you use CW only.

I may well have done an injustice with my last comments as I now realise the Bhi Noise away module was never intended for CW use albeit some reasonable results have been shown by ham users. After a brief communication to ask Bhi I received a message which may well help CW users in the future.
"We would like to bring out a unit that improves CW operation and may do in the future. Our current DSP technology works out which signals are speech and which ones are just noise. This can cause it to not be a problem for certain cw tones. That is why we have never promoted it for cw. I do have some customers who do a little cw operation and find it excellent for this."
I will certainly keep a close eye on this product in the hope a unit for CW becomes available.
So for Speech modes it definitely gets a 5 out of 5 from me.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have foil lined or foil insulation slabs on your roof or between you rafters spars or trusses then an Internal Stealth Antenna is NOT for you!
Please also Note Earth details for the SG Smart Tuner that I use ( http://www.sgcworld.com/radialstechnote.html ) May not be suitable for your tuner.
A Matter of interest and review of the bhi noise away.

In the passed 10 months I have had QSOs on every HF Band From 160m. up to 10 M. with my STEALTH ANTENNA.
Just recently was a 80m QSO with Yl2GB. Ralph from Latvia. Plus on 17M a QSO with JE1FQV. Tak from Yokohama City Japan. Plus K3EC from the states and N9RV on the far side of USA.
I am delighted at the performance of this STEALTH Antenna System.
EZ End fed several configurations : Horizontal, Vertical, Sloper, L and Zig-Zag. EZ-wire is a perfect antenna for limited spaced.
